Donate The Red Cross is facing a severe blood shortage. Flu season has sidelined many donors, and winter weather has forced hundreds of drives to be cancelled. Hospital requests are exceeding supply, and the Red Cross blood inventory is down about 35% in the past month.A blood shortage can impact lifesaving care for patients in need. Blood is critical for trauma patients, cancer patients, childbirth complications, premature babies, sickle cell disease, surgeries & much more!If you are available and able to donate at St. Thomas Becket on Friday, February 27, we could really use your support. Your donation makes a difference! Two volunteers are needed between 10 am and 1 pm, as well as another two volunteers between 1 pm and 4 pm.
